UPNINKAI

Information about the route:

It is recommended to start the journey in Vysnialaukis village, to get to know old neighbourhood villages – Perelozai, Vysnialaukis, Gegutes, and Arnotiskes. It is a nature trail leading through Galijevka village. An old oak is visited toward villages of Arnotiskes and Gegutes. We come back to cars left in Vysnialaukis.

Route length– about 9,5 – 12, 5 km. It is advised to go on foot, on foot with walking sticks.
Route duration – up to 1,5 hours.
Group consists of 20 people.

For those coming back to Jonava on their own – it is recommended to travel through Vareikiai, by taking a turn to Upninkai – Saleninkai along the Šventoji River.

Guide serviceIf the tour‘s date and time are arranged in advance – there is a possibility to hire a tour guide. 1-hour price: for adult – 2 euros, children, pensioners, disabled people – 1 euro.

Group consists of 15-20 people.

Available tour extrasPo After the tour, all participants are invited to drink tea and to socialize with the community of Vysnialaukis village. There is a walking route offered, cars are left in the village of Vysnialaukis or next to Perelozai Orthodox Church. It is possible to look at the church, and with a supervisory person to look inside.
